Four of the world’s best freestylers go head-to-head for a cash prize and bragging rights. StreetGodz will once again invite some of the world’s best freestyle ballers to face off head-to-head for global recognition. The Get Down 2K9 is just a preview of what’s to come for the StreetGodz Do You Believe Summer Tour as we try to answer the question: Who is the number one basketball freestyler in the world?


The Get Down 2K9 will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the Children’s Museum on Van Buren and 7th Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona at 3pm sharp. Four of the best freestylers will fly in from across the globe – Kamizake – Japan’s number one freestyler by way of Vancouver, Canada; Surprise – Germany’s best and he’s only 18 years old; Shiro – One of Japan’s top 5; Snake – From Wisconsin, he made it to the final’s in last year’s All Star Weekend battle.


The event will be DJ’d by the legendary Biz Markie. Special confirmed guests include: Hip-Hop artist and actor Common, Hip Hop artists Soulja Boy and Red Café, the New York Knicks’ Al Harrington, the Oklahoma Thunder’s Kevin Durant, the Phoenix Suns’ Amare Stoudimare, WNBA superstar Tina Thompson, the Golden State Warrior’s Stephen Jackson and the L.A. Laker’s Trevor Ariza and many more.
