A little interview with Trikz about what’s new with him. He has a new app out for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad that teaches you how to do streetball freestyle moves. Search “Trikz” on the iTunes store and you’ll find this awesome new instructional app easily.

Check it out, I think this could be big for freestyle and helping it grow in popularity and the artform of it. Support it, the bigger it gets the more all freestylers benefi.
Along the freestyle timeline, A2W is arguably the second major influence in spinning tricks after Tommy Baker. That says quite a bit about the caliber of his tricks and his reputation in the freestyle world. That being said, it comes as no surprise that he was victorious in the Freestyle Central Spinning Contest with an innovative new spin trick. Check out what A2W has to say about his experiences with freestyle and how he came up with his contest-winning move.
Congrats for winning the spinning contest A2W, and thanks for taking the time to do this interview. First of all can you tell us a bit about where you’re from?
Thanks Snake, I’m from London in England where freestyle is growing and the home of some great freestylers.
How did you get the name A2W?
My real name is Andrew Wilding so I got the name A2W from my initials at first but then people would say Read the rest of this entry »
I just caught this on youtube. This guy died in 1931 and was doing stuff that would be considered innovative right now - that says something about the amount of talent and creativity he had. It just goes to show you that no matter how good anyone is, there’s always someone out there you don’t know about that is doing mind blowing stuff.
Grip has been on tour and met up with A2W and Tommy Baker in London and did some filming. Check it out -
There’s been a nice little revival of the more old-school freestyle type videos coming out over the last couple of weeks. TOTB’s DK and LC along with Tusko have put out some sick flow freestyles which bring more dribbling back into the equation. Be sure to check all the vids out they’re all dope!

The crowd judged the show, and they were feeling Kazi from start to finish. I’ve got crazy respect for Kamikaze, every time I do a show with him he never fails to shock me. He always comes with new moves, combos and his one-of-a-kind style. You can say that if the whole competition was a poker tourney, Kamikaze has what it takes to trump the other participants’ poker hands.
……….Now that I’ve got that out of the way, I’m going to rewind a bit and tell you what happened just before the competition. We all got some tight gear from Protégé a new up and coming shoe/clothing company. When we first got to the venue we did a little interview for a cameraman, I got to wear one of those little microphones that goes under your shirt, so that was a life defining moment for me (OK, that’s a bit of an exaggeration, haha). We also bumped into some familiar faces. We talked to Trikz and Tommy Baker for a bit, and I saw Circus and said what’s up to him. Before we went on stage Soulja boy performed and there were all kinds of girls going crazy, haha. After Soulja Boy took some pictures with some fans we were up. Read the rest of this entry »
